The MYO Pain Relief Center in Chicago specializes in a unique and highly effective non-surgical, non-drug approach. We relieve chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction with a non-invasive treatment called myofascial trigger point therapy. By identifying and treating the underlying causes of muscular pain and by teaching self-care techniques, we help patients relieve their pain problems and prevent recurrence.

We have more than 50 years of collective experience treating and training patients based on the discoveries of the late Dr. Janet Travell (JFK's personal physician) and Dr. David G. Simons, authors of Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual.  Our clients include members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Bears, other massage therapists, and everyday people who want to eliminate pain.

Since 1988, we have trained over 1000 practitioners in the relief of myofascial pain and dysfunction and have developed a body of protocols and training materials unique in the field.

We recently completed the final manuscript for a book on self-care techniques for the relief of low back and buttock pain, the most common muscular pain problem for our patients. The book is primarily intended to teach self-care techniques for people in pain; but it will also spread awareness among the public and medical practitioners of the prevalence of trigger points and referred pain, and the efficacy of myofascial trigger point therapy in general.

We would love the opportunity to help you eliminate your pain. Please contact us for more information.
