Welcome to Eastside Bodywork in Kirkland, WA.

My mission has always been simple: to make you feel better than when you first entered my door.

Whether this means pain relief to you, relaxation, restoration of function or renewed quality of life, you are at the center of everything I do, every step of the way.

I invite you to try my classic, deeply relaxing therapeutic massages. The benefits of getting regular massage are numerous which makes massage a great tool to manage stress levels and improve overall well-being. For clients presenting with pain I offer Neuromuscular Therapy which is more of an active care approach where you become the driver of your own healing journey.

Neuromuscular Therapy - this is how it works

Most bodywork modalities just focus on soft tissues such as muscles, fascia, tendons, or ligaments ignoring the fact that all of our tissues are controlled by our brain and the central nervous system.

The form of Neuromuscular Therapy I practice at Eastside Bodywork uses proven protocols from NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) and NeuroMuscular Reprogramming (NMR) to get to the root cause of your problem. My goal is to give you lasting relief by finding and treating the cause, not just the symptoms!

I utitlize manual muscle testing to assess neuromuscular functioning and coordination. My goal with that isn't to test your muscle strength but rather to see whether your brain can actually 'find' a specific muscle and use it when needed. Very often, muscles tend to get switched off by injuries, trauma, or scars from a surgery and the body starts compensating by using different muscles. Down the road, these compensating muscles can become painful.

Using NKT I find dysfunctional movement patterns and correct them where they originate - in the motor control center of the brain. Once a correction has been made during your appointment, the new pattern needs to be reinforced through repetition to make sure a new neural pathway is created. To achieve this, I'll send you home with self care recommendations which usually consist of 1-2 simple but effective exercises. This is very important to get lasting results and to not only get you out of pain, but to KEEP you out of pain!

I invite you to spend some time reading through the various pages here. Then make a call or email me to see what I can do for you.

I look forward to meeting YOU,
