Background

Dean Scarpinato is a dedicated practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine whose roots can be traced back to the mid-1980’s when he began the disciplined and dedicated practice of martial arts.  He began with the secret forms of Pa Kua Chang.  Healing techniques were taught and applied as injuries and mishaps inevitably arose.

After an intensive program at the Florida School of Massage in 1990 Dean came back to Chicago, began a Massage Practice and began the formal study of Acupuncture at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.  He graduated in 1993 and aced the National Boards in New York gaining the title “Diplomate of Acupuncture".

In those days it was a Class 4 felony to practice Acupuncture in Illinois and after a couple years Dean became a Real Estate Broker and enjoyed the boom years between 1995 and 2004.  In 2004 he felt the calling of his spiritual and artistic roots and spent a year in meditation, music, and yoga while writing a book of poetry on the Esoteric principles of the Tarot which is currently in publication.  It was in this period that insights and intuitions lead him back into the practice of Acupuncture.

He fulfilled the requirements and was subsequently granted a license to practice Acupuncture.  Since early 2005 he has been treating a broad spectrum of issues.

Acupuncture is effective in treating far more than pain.  And while Dean has saved a number of patients from knee and back surgery, he has also restored hearing in patients experiencing temporary deafness for close to a year.

Dean has worked with a number of cases of clinical depression wherein regular Acupuncture treatments combined with regular exercise have reduced or eliminated the need for medication.  And while he cannot claim that he was the only factor of success, he has worked with women and men experiencing fertility issues with positive results.

Be pain free! Why not?

Had shoulder pain so bad, I was not fun to be around! Went to Dean, and was feeling sooo much better after, i was like a new person. What he practices would take really 'whitecoats' forever to figure out, let alone treat. Try it! It does not hurt!

Fast Results

I first came to Dean with residual pain in my right chest and rotator cuff from an athletic injury 7 years ago. The pain had been constant and chronic all these years. I felt better right away and the sessions were so relaxing that I usually fell into a peaceful sleep on the table. In 8-to-10 sessions the pain is completely gone and I feel GREAT! I see him now every couple weeks just for maintenance and fine tuning.

Professional and Skilled

Being a police officer for 31 years I have experienced double rotator cuff injury, a broken clavicle, asthma and numerous aches and pains. In the short time that I have been working with Dean my health has improved in ways I never imagined. My shoulders are healed. My lungs are stronger. Energy is more consistent. Dean is professional, reliable, and personable. Moreover, he is committed and skilled in Acupuncture. I consider him a friend and value him as a Health Care Professional.

A Great Success

The few months that I have been working with Dean my hearing has improved dramatically. Also, my heel pain is almost 100% resolved. It is like a new lot in life when pain has you to the point that you cannot walk and then in a few months that condition is reversed. Third, my blood pressure is now down. This is wonderful as it was just a ?side effect? of the Acupuncture as it was never our focus. I have nothing but the most positive of feedback for Dean?s work, commitment, manner and results.

Professional and Gentle

I see Dean for Cosmetic Acupuncture. He always puts me at ease and his technique is great. The needles do not hurt and the results are wonderful. Along w/looking younger I am feeling younger. A lot of small issues have resolved themselves like my carpal tunnel syndrome that went away within one or two treatments. I have also had sinus problems all of my life which are improving dramatically. I used to need to use Naso Cort everyday but now I almost never use it at all. Dean Rocks
