My goal is to help you feel better, whether you have neck/back pain, insomnia, infertility, constipation, headaches or acne. Through nutrition, herbs and life-style changes we can work together and create new habits that will hopefully discontinue the underlying reason for the condition. My first experience with acupuncture was extraordinary. After three years of Achilles tendonitis hindering my professional dancing career, acupuncture eliminated the pain within two treatments. Thirteen years later the pain still hasn't returned. My practice focuses on a Sensei Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese style of acupuncture based on a synthesis of Master Nagano, Master Kawai, and Master Manaka's work. The Japanese have a history of blind acupuncturists, creating a diagnosis based on palpation of the hara (the abdomen) as well as the Chinese diagnosis of pulse and tongue. Sensei Matsumoto's acupuncture style clears the abdomen through needle techniques, Ochu Moxibustion, Pachi-Pachi, triple bypass cords, and kyutoshin (needle moxa). I am also proficient in the commonly practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as well as a French Meridian style of acupuncture based on Dr. Mark Seem's study of Janet Travell's trigger points.
